1. Introduction & Our Privacy Commitment

EquityDive (equitydive.ai) generates AI-powered investment research reports for US public companies. We are committed to collecting only the minimum data necessary to provide our service. We do not sell, share, or use your information for advertising purposes, and we do not use your data to build profiles or infer personal characteristics.

2. Information We Collect

We deliberately collect very little information. Specifically:

• Email address — required for account creation. This is the only personal identifier we require. We do not ask for your name, phone number, mailing address, or any other personal contact information.
• Password — securely hashed and stored. We cannot see your password.
• Usage data — reports generated, model preferences, and credit balance.
• Transaction history — credit purchases and payment method used.

3. Research Activity Privacy

Your investment research activity is private. The tickers you search, the reports you generate, and your analysis patterns are not monitored, profiled, shared, or used for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you. We understand that investment research can be sensitive, and we have designed our system so that your research activity stays between you and the AI model generating your report.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the service, process payments, and communicate important service updates. We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond operating EquityDive.

5. Payment Processing

Stripe handles all credit and debit card payments. We never see, access, or store your card details — all card information is handled entirely by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's own privacy policy and terms. For Bitcoin payments (Lightning and on-chain), transactions are processed via BTCPay Server. Bitcoin payments are processed without requiring any additional personal information.

Stripe's handling of your data is subject to Stripe's own privacy policy. BTCPay Server's handling of your data is subject to their own privacy policy.

6. AI Model Providers

Reports are generated using third-party AI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google). Company ticker symbols and publicly available financial data are sent to these providers to generate reports. No personal user information — such as your email, account details, or identity — is shared with AI providers. Requests sent to AI providers contain only company identifiers and publicly available financial data; they are not linked to your EquityDive account, email address, or any other personal identifier.

Note: AI providers may have their own data retention policies for processing requests. We select providers with strong privacy practices, but cannot guarantee their internal data handling. Each AI provider operates under their own privacy policy and terms of service.

7. Data Storage & Security

User data is stored on infrastructure provided by reputable US-based cloud service providers, with encryption in transit and at rest. Financial data is sourced from SEC EDGAR public filings, supplemented by reputable third-party financial data providers. Generated reports are stored for your access via the History feature. We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information, though no method of internet transmission is completely secure. Third-party infrastructure and data providers each operate under their own privacy policies.

8. Cookies

We use essential authentication cookies only to keep you logged in. We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data and account
• Correct or update your information
• Object to certain data processing

California Residents: We do not sell your personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In addition to the rights listed above, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, and to opt out of the sale of personal information — though we do not engage in such sales.

10. Children's Privacy

You must be at least 18 years of age to use EquityDive. EquityDive generates AI-powered investment research including price targets and investment attractiveness ratings, and is not intended for use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

11. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Accounts that have been inactive for 12 or more months may be deleted, along with associated data and stored reports. We will attempt to notify you via email before any deletion. You may also request account deletion at any time by emailing support@equitydive.ai — upon deletion, your account data and stored reports will be removed.

12. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, we will notify affected users via email within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law. Where appropriate, we will also provide information about steps you can take to protect yourself.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
